Meet Mindi Nonnemaker
Founder of Golden Ledger Consulting
25+ years of corporate accounting experience serving small businesses with clarity and compassion.
Corporate precision. Boutique support.

After 25 years in corporate accounting, I became an expert in structure, accuracy, and financial strategy—managing multimillion-dollar budgets, preparing complex financial reports, analyzing cash flow trends, overseeing audits, and navigating the fast-paced demands of corporate finance for Fortune 100 companies.
But eventually, I realized I wanted something different.
Something more human.
Something that didn't involve fluorescent lights or cold conference rooms.
Golden Ledger Consulting was born from that shift.
Today, I use the same skills I sharpened over decades—cleaning up books, designing systems, and translating complex financial data—only now, I work directly with small business owners who want calm, clarity, and confidence around their finances.
I'm taking the precision and polish of big-business finance and making it accessible, approachable, and personalized for the people who need it most.
What I Do Differently:
I'm not a tax preparer.
I'm not a coach.
I'm a Financial Clarity Consultant—someone who can meet you where you are, make sense of your numbers, and help you build systems that actually work for how you do business.
I bring big-business precision to small-business operations—and make it feel approachable, empowering, and judgment-free. I believe financial clarity shouldn't feel overwhelming or out of reach. It should feel like structure. Like calm.
More Than Just the Math:
Numbers tell stories—and so do we.
That concept shapes everything I do at Golden Ledger.
Behind every number is a story—one that deserves to be acknowledged, understood, and gently brought into the light.
It's also what inspired me to write my first book, created for women who are financially starting over after surviving domestic violence. This book will be made available soon to women's shelters and support programs. While my consulting is focused on business finances, this project reflects my belief that clarity belongs in every part of our lives—and that emotional intelligence and technical work can absolutely coexist to help write a beautiful new chapter.
It takes time, strategy, and a safe place to begin. But whether you're untangling your company's books or reclaiming your personal story—you deserve to feel steady, supported, and seen.
Life Outside the Ledger:
These days, I live in the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia, where life moves a little slower—and the air feels a little lighter. I spend my days doing the work I love, and my evenings enjoying life with my husband and our three rescue dogs.
When I'm not untangling financials or color-coding spreadsheets, you'll find me watching stand-up comedy, reading anything I can get my hands on, or relaxing in the flower garden.
Balance is everything—and I believe your finances should support the life you actually want to live.
